Gutters fail when they're installed wrong or neglected too long.
Connecticut's weather is hard on gutter systems. Winter brings freeze-thaw cycles that crack sealants and loosen hangers, especially in the Connecticut springs area where temperatures swing above and below freezing week after week. Heavy spring and fall rainfall stresses joints and downspouts, and ice dams form along the roofline when snow melts and refreezes at the eaves. Without proper gutter repair and maintenance, these seasonal swings cause sagging gutters, separated seams, and water damage to your foundation and siding.
Seams, miters, and end caps are the most common leak points. We clean the joint down to bare metal, apply professional-grade sealant, and test with running water before we leave.
When hangers corrode or fascia softens, gutters drop and pool water. We re-pitch the run to proper slope, replace failed hangers, and re-secure to solid fascia so water moves to the downspouts.
Crushed, dented, or rusted-through sections get cut out and replaced with new material matched to the existing system. The splice is sealed and tested — invisible from the ground.
Hail dents, wind-pulled runs, and fallen limb impacts. We photograph everything for your insurance claim, provide a written estimate, and coordinate directly with your adjuster.

Not every gutter problem needs a full replacement. Here's how to tell the difference:
During the free estimate, we'll show you exactly what's wrong and whether a repair will hold or if you'd be putting money into a system that's past its useful life. No pressure either way — we do both.
We've been doing gutter repair and installation across Connecticut springs and the surrounding metro for nearly twenty years. Here's what homeowners in our service area have to say about the work we do.
Mark H., Stamford: "Had a gutter system that was sagging on one side. They came out, looked at it, told me straight up it needed replacement. New seamless gutters installed in one day. Pitch is perfect, water flows like it should. Fair price, no upsell."
Jennifer T., New Haven: "Called about clogged gutters before a storm. They fit us in same week. Guy was professional, cleaned everything out, checked the downspouts, showed me what he found. No gutter guard sales pitch, just honest work."
David R., Bridgeport: "Copper gutters on a 1920s colonial. Most gutter companies won't touch old houses. These guys knew exactly what they were doing. Details matter to them. Still looks right two years later."
Most repair jobs run between $150 and $400, depending on what's broken and how much work it takes to fix it. A single sagging section or a few loose hangers is on the lower end. If you've got damaged gutters that need patching or a section that's pulling away from the fascia, you're looking at the higher range. We give flat-rate estimates in writing, so you know the price before we start.
Ice dams and ice buildup, hands down. Connecticut winters mean freeze-thaw cycles that are brutal on gutters. Water backs up under your shingles, ice forms, and then the weight of it all pulls the gutter away from the house or bends the hangers. We also see a lot of clogged gutters from leaves and debris that don't drain properly in spring, which leads to standing water and rust on aluminum gutters. Keeping your gutters clean through fall and early winter prevents most of this.
During normal seasons, we can usually get you in within a week. Spring and fall are busier, so it might stretch to two weeks. Storm damage is different—if you've got a gutter emergency after heavy wind or ice, call us right away and we'll work you in as soon as we can. We don't use call centers or subcontractors, so when you call during business hours, you're talking to someone who can actually schedule you.
It depends on what caused the damage. If a tree falls on your house and takes out the gutter, that's usually covered under your homeowner's policy. Wear and tear, ice dams, and clogged gutters that lead to water damage are typically not covered—those are maintenance issues. After a storm, check your gutters and take photos if there's damage, then call your insurance company. They'll tell you what they'll pay for. We can handle the repair either way.
